EFFULENT PLANT |
| |
The sullage (kitchen + bathroom waste water) is collected in a collection tank. A centrifugal pump pumps it from the collection tank into the filtration process. The filtration process consists of the following:
|
| Alum Dosing system :: |
Alum is dosed in the wastewater to help in coagulation and floc formation. This aids in the removal of suspended particles in the multi-grade filter. Alum dosing system consists of a pump, which is controlled by a timer, and doses alum in the waste water at a fixed rate. It also consists of an alum-dosing tank.
|
| Chlorine dosing system :: |
The raw water will initially be chlorinated by dosing Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) solution by means of a metering pump. Chlorination serves the purpose of disinfection as well as oxidation of Ferrous ions to Ferric state.
|
| Multi-grade filter :: |
INDION Multi-grade filter consists of different grades of sand, which provides depth filtration. This sand bed removes the suspended particles present in the sullage. The maximum load the filter can take is up to 50 ppm of Suspended solids. The filter has to be washed for 10-15 mins daily to remove the accumulated particles in it. Filter has manual operation through a single multi-port valve operated through a single hand lever.
|
| Activated Carbon filter (ACF) :: |
INDION Activated Carbon Filter shall be used for de-chlorination of filtered water. Water from the sand filter will pass through the ACF where the excess Chlorine will be removed along with undesired Colour and Odour. The filter will have to be washed for 10 to 15 mins daily. The filter is operated manually through a single multi-port valve operated through a single hand lever.
